Rutgers Microbiology Lab

Rutgers selected Tokarski Millemann Architects to renovate existing lab spaces within the Nelson Labs Building on Busch Campus into two new BSL2 rated microbiology teaching laboratories. Working with Michael Riesz Construction, we installed a new chemical fume hood, biosafety cabinet, flammable storage cabinet, student lab tables, new windows and lab casework by Lab Design. A seamless, chemical resistant sheet flooring was installed to contain spills and facilitate easy clean up. TMA worked with KSi Consulting Engineers to replace the mechanical systems and install new LED lighting. TMA also handled the interior design and assisted Rutgers Facilities to manage the construction.
