This new custom Craftsman Style home was a labor of love for its owner. The owner had dreamed of building this home overlooking Sandy Hook and the Atlantic Ocean for years. Visiting architectural salvage sites and grand homes scheduled for demolition, the Owner collected much of the interior and exterior doors and windows, as well as, many of the plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, tile and furnishings. Visitors to the project would frequently remark, “What a beautiful old house. Was this done in the 1940’s?” The Owner and I (Rick) would get a kick out of letting them know it was less than a year old.
